Default Velmax vs Tabata

What are the effects of these two sorts of intervals: which sort is
better supported by research?

The desired effects for the young cyclists in our club a
raising the anaerobic threshold
increasing the time at which a cyclist can work at that threshold
increasing the wattage at the threshold
increasing the ability to deal with peak moments in a road race.

Thanks for any replies.

He has denied using some - but he refuses to confirm or deny using them all
- even when the evidence is presented to him.

Justin van Lewis is a proven liar.

The current thinking and research indicates greater intensities are
more productive: LSD will teach you to ride a long way slowly.
