happily no serious injuries, this time. Would Phil Lee agree this was
attempted murder?

More pointedly, are the parents of young children (or young children
themselves) entitled to take steps to disable any bicycle they encounter
as a form of pre-emptive self-defence?

They could always smash the cyclist in the face with a D lock, which has
been recommended as a suitable form of defence on here, I believe.

Or attack him with a sharpened screwdriver, that's also been put forward as
a valid strategy.

Probably careless riding. Naturally, if taken to court the charge would be
dropped just like the two recent cases of drivers killing cyclists.

"Rebecca Chicot, 40, of Brunswick Terrace, fears a child could be killed
after her daughter Iris, 5, was "ploughed into" by the rider."

Strange that. It's always *might* or *could* be. How many children
*actually* get killed after being "ploughed into" by drivers?

And what is the relevance on a cycling NG?

Why would I leave? I'm discussing an aspect of cycling, which is totally on
topic.
We are not compelled to just say nice things about cycling - it's only the
moderated group that suffers from censorship.
