Excellent for $895 at www.bikesdirect.com For full retail of $1300 there are
other choices.

Pros- Smooth ride (for aluminum)
Light -18.6 lbs
105 components
Triple

Cons- Tacky paint job IMO for 2002
Has a less than substantial feel

For a steel bike the Roubaix Pro is speced the same except for a double and an
853 frame.

I considered the Roubaix (sp?) models (regular and pro) while shopping for
my first-ever road bike recently (well, first since around 1972!), along
with the aluminum Team Fusion. Nice bikes for the money, but they rode a
tad harsh IM (admittedly uninformed) O.

Then I rode a Klein Q-carbon (AL w/carbon stays) and the entry-level Lemond
titanium, and my fate was $ealed.

Got the KQC, Bill
