How was jail?

The jail he was in is pretty infamous. He is probably not going to

commit any more crimes that land him back there that's for sure.

I didn't commit any crimes, which is why all charges were dismissed on 3/26/13. Thanks for demonstrating just how DISHONEST mountain bikers are.- Hide quoted text -

So how was jail?

For the record, Vandeman is lying (again) about all charges being

dismissed.

I guess you didn't bother to check, did you? LOL. LIAR.

In fact he was guilty of three out of six of the misdemeanor

charges. He got off lightly: the eight days he spent in jail plus 30

days on the Alameda County sheriff's Work Alternative Program. He's also

on probation for three years and not permitted on certain area trails.

Of course U.C. could choose to ban him from their property even after

the probation is over.

Despite all the rhetoric you see from him on Usenet, the chance of him

re-offending is probably very small. He got off lightly because he had

no previous criminal record. If he re-offends he won't be so lucky.

The key thing that the judge should have ordered is to have him attend

classes to learn about wilderness preservation, trail use impacts, etc.

He has no knowledge of any of these subjects.
