Default Cyclist rammed parked car weapon

“At about 9.25pm, the emergency services were called following a report
that a cyclist had been in collision with a parked, unoccupied Renault
Scenic on Kew Road.

“The cyclist, a 35-year-old man from Southport, suffered serious
injuries to his face and neck and was taken to hospital where he
subsequently died.”

How can you miss seeing a parked car on a well lit residential street?

Yet another example of cyclists not using observation & anticipation skills.

It could happen to anyone. All you need to do is leave your car
legitimately parked and a cyclist could easily crash into it, causing a
lot of expensive damage.

And it's easy to see how it happens:

The owner of the parked car has my sympathies, mainly because it looks
like a loss of NCD coming his way, as well as all the inconvenience of
arranging for repairs, making alternative travel arrangements, etc.

The cyclist's family (there must be one) also deserve sympathy.
