So there I was, visiting a consulting engineering firm with offices in
a high street in Surrey. I parked round the back to unload my big box
of samples and spied a Trice (I think).

Got inside and chatted with my contact, who said the Trice belonged to
a member of their staff called Ian Smith.

Seeing as they do consulting on railways and you talk in chains, I
reckon that's you that is.

So you missed out on the free sandwiches.

Did you, by Jove!

Could well be, could be. At least, I don't know of anyone else
matching that description, and I did miss a seminar at lunchtime.

So you missed out on the free sandwiches.

I'm told there was lots of egg left. I intended to be there, but was
unfortunately delayed in an earlier meeting with the company
accountants, who didn't give me any food at all (though, of course,
they'd probably have charged me 250 pounds an hour to assist in
eating any sandwiches they did provide, so probably for the best).

Bother. You were nearly the first urc'er I've met in reallife(tm).

regards, Ian SMith

As the governor of California says "I'll be back". I'll try to find
you next time.
