Should I wear a helmet?
Rick Onanian wrote:
I apologize to all the real people who I lumped together as frauds. You know who you are. -- Rick "Er, they can't read this thread anyway..." Onanian That is a good point, and pretty funny. Boy, I stay away for a few days, and it's amazing what pops up! We now have someone using the phrases "made a jackass of himself," "asinine conclusions," "half-assed inquiry," "summarize their drivel," "arrogance and nastiness," "acting like a pack of vicious bigots"... .... all the while, calling for more "character and courtesy" on Usenet! Personally, I think the pot should apologize to the kettle! ;-) -- Frank Krygowski [To reply, omit what's between "at" and "cc"] |

Should I wear a helmet?
! This Google groups layout is a pain if you aren't used to it I
tried it for browsing for a week now and today I will take the plunge and use it, altough I might keep it just for posting in this thread. Anyways, Carl, I appreciate your efforts, but I think it's enough now. Those who don't appologize won't do it *shrug*. I myself am convinced there is even less "sockpuppetry" than some still believe, but I think people here will think twice before they scream "foul". Let's drop it, Tuschinski. |

Should I wear a helmet?

Well, Carl, after laughing out loud visualizing that, I guess I'm ready to concede a little bit... While I remain convinced that there was something fishy with at least some of the messages, the scale is not nearly as large as I thought. I can't put my finger on what I still believe is wrong, but: I apologize to all the real people who I lumped together as frauds. You know who you are. Carl Fogel Dear Rick? What problem? What's "not nearly as large" as you thought? Why are you wriggling? This is no apology. It's just another half-assed claim that some fraud occurred. Please name the frauds and give us your evidence, preferably something better than Chalo's far from credible inability to find them . . . Their disagreement with Frank about helmets . . . Bizarre complaints that their style is too simple or too complex . . . Obvious signature bugs that have nothing to do with the sender . . . Or the real reason that the rec.bicycling.tech bigots still aren't ashamed to raise--they despise anyone who posts from cycling forums. You are one of the bigots, aren't you? Here's one of your posts to Frank Krygowski. Would you like to be one of Frank's students? Rick Onanian wrote in message . .. Almost every one exhibits sixth-grade thinking levels. Nobody seems to have read any of the existing thread, let alone any of the references that have been supplied. Is there a chance that cyclingforums has some sort of IQ limit in place? That is, if you're too smart, do they keep you from posting? It's the nature of the beast. If you're too smart, you use a real newsreader, or at least google. I suspect that those users don't even realize that these messages exist anywhere other than at cyclingforums.com. Have you noticed that they rarely, if ever, reply to any of our replies to them? Isn't it terrible how those people rarely reply to arrogant bigots? Carl Fogel |
