Scum coward in the dock for GBH + DD

"A MOTORIST deliberately drove at a cyclist who complained about him clipping him with his wing (sic) mirror while overtaking in Stinchcombe, a jury was told today.

Daniel Mansell, 23, reversed his Volkswagen (VW) Polo in the main road in the village before driving straight at cyclist Stephen Barnes, it was alleged at Gloucester Crown Court.

Mr Barnes had to jump onto the car bonnet to avoid the impact - and was then thrown off again when the Polo braked hard, said prosecutor Philip Warren.

Mansell, of Woodview Road, Cam, denies driving dangerously on The Avenue, Stinchcombe, on November 16 last year. He also denies attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to the cyclist."

When Mansell was interviewed by police a month after the incident he accepted he had clipped a cyclist with his wing (sic) mirror and maintained that the rider then banged on his car, frightening him.
