Default The UK's first Brompton bike dock.

"William Butler-Adams, Brompton MD, added: “In the last ten years,
bike journeys have increased ten-fold as the public has come to
appreciate the many advantages that cycling offers.

“This is the first Brompton Dock in the country and we believe it, and
others like it, will make bike journeys even more attractive to more
people; by providing a ready-to-ride high-quality Brompton to rent, we
are giving passengers a superior alternative to the car and bus.”

Indeed, marinas are another area where folding bikes come into their
own.
Many of the boat owners in our marina have folding bikes which don't
take up much space below deck and are ideal for popping to the shops
on.
A good point well made, Sir.

To the bus?

He's got a point.

Even cyclists don't like riding on buses.

They have a superior commuting average speed to the car as has been
proved year after year.
5.5 mph average in London for a car, isn't it?
A jogger could beat that.

My recent experience is 18mph. I can't recall having driven beyond the
M25, except to Bluewater*, since last filling up.

A jogger could beat that.
