Just getting the inspection in Maryland costs $60! Any car that will pass
inspection is usually worth at least $1500 and then you have to pass
an exhaust emmissions test every two years. Fail that and your must spend
hundreds or thousands more or turn in your tags.

There are no car inspections in Minnesota that I am aware of. An old
klunker car will get you around town just fine. There are people around here
who will pay you to take their cars off their hands. They want something new
and shiny, like most fools do.

I will admit if you are gong to be driving in a metro or crossing the
country, you had better have a pretty good car. But for just driving around
a small town, a klunker car will work just fine.

When I was kid there were still some old Model As and Model Ts putting
around town. Ah, those were truly the good old days! The world should have
stopped around 1950 as far as I am concerned. It was a golden age for
America then and it has been all downhill ever since.
