Well done, those bikers.
But were any of the [motor-]bikers riding bicycles?
Or was the criminal riding one?
Yes, that latter must be the answer. After all, otherwise, the
story would not be relevant in uk.r.c, would it?

The term 'bikers' refers to motorcyclists or cyclists.

In everyday terms? Really? Not so much, I suggest. The usual words
for a cyclist are "cyclist" or one of a number of others which I
will not usually repeat.
Do you say that the bikers mentioned in the report were cyclists on
push bikes?

Did they mention that the bikers mentioned were on motorbikes?

My question was asked first, old chap: do *you* say that the bikers
mentioned in the report were cyclists on push bikes?

Be clear.

There may be a supplementary question or two.

Â*
Â* No mention of cyclists nor motorcyclists.

What would you recognise the name "Oxleathers M.C.C." as meaning?

Do you say that it is, or might be, a push-bike riders' club?

Mens Cycling Club?

The acronym is used by motorcyclists and cyclists in reference to
traffic collisions in which the driver of a car or larger vehicle claims
not to have noticed a two-wheel biker. It is usually derogatory, in that
the claim is often that the driver was not at fault (when he/she
patently was).

:-)

Now you are reduced to undignified wriggling.

Why not just admit that the people who made the citizen's arrest are
motor-cyclists?

If you were a cyclist, you would definitely find out quickly.

All cyclists and motorcyclists know it full well from experience.

Many car drivers just seem to be blind to two wheeled vehicles.
I've had many instance myself when cycling, from cars just pulling out
of side roads and obviously totally oblivious to my presence.

I used to have a bicycle when I was a kid, then I grew up.
Anyway, how are you both? Not here, you have my email address.

You should wear pink hi-viz.

People would notice you in that.

I understand that your gay community would like cyclists to wear

rainbow colours, but pink has been proven to not be a very effective
colour compared to the tried and tested colours already available.
