Default windproof gloves

Hello Group,

I was trying to find the right gloves for my riding. I wanted
winterproof, full-fingered. I went to the Specialized site and
looked at two catergories: Mountain Gloves (the TRX, etc.) and
Winter Gloves (the Deflect, etc.). The former looks very protective
but "windproof" is not mentioned. As I will not be riding downhill,
is the latter a better choice?

Thanks.

I don't know about either of those two models, but I just picked up a
really sweet pair of Swix XC ski gloves at my local Marshalls discount
store (US) for less than fifteen bucks. Thin palm for good feel, fully
washable, lycra between fingers for brilliant fit, and designed so that
there's always airspace in the fingertips no matter how hard you tug on
them, you winter riders will understand what that means for finger warmth.

I took a short spin in freezing 40F rain last night and they were
waterproof and damn toasty.

Not extreme winter gloves, but good for 30-50F.

And cheap...

:P
