No - thanks.
I killfiled them both ages ago and have no wish to read their foul
abuses of me, my wife, my daughters, my home, my birth place, my job,
my holidays, the food I eat, my drinking habits and so on. The last
time I had to read any that hate filled bile was when I showed it all
to the police last August.

What did the police prosecute them for, then?- Hide quoted text -

- Show quoted text -

Online harassment, cyberstalking and sending malicious and threatening
messages using a computer network.

What was their punishment when they were taken to court?- Hide quoted

Their court cases are still ongoing.

The fact that the people you accuse of saying nasty things about you have
not heard anything at all from the police is firm evidence that you are
talking bull****, again.

I must admit - I was going to plead guilty as I admit I called him a **** on
one occasion.

What do you mean "Its amazing that such people are let loose on our roads and pavements."????

How do you suggest the government works out who is likely to do these things? Thought police?

In this case the driver had previous and despite being sentenced to 12
years he will be allowed to get back on our roads again eventually.
Such people should always receive a lifetime driving ban and if they
then insist on driving again get successively longer prison sentences
each time they are caught. Any driver who causes harm to others on our
roads, particularly to the vulnerable, should be banned from driving
for life.

Don't you believe people can change?

"Too late, chum."

What?

There ought to be a law against that sort of thing.

I thought this reckless pavement motoring thing was all a bit of a
myth until I heard the story of a colleague.
Her daughter had just emerged from her front door in Lewisham when she
was hit by a motorist completely on the pavement. The mother screamed
at the driver who just drove off.
Incidently, the road was completely clear, and the motorist had no
lights on at 5.30.

There was anther one on the news this morning. Bloke mounted the
pavement twice, turns out he'd failed a roadside eyesight test not
long before.

There ought to be a law against driving when the driver can't see properly.

Jesus Christ.

One is an obsessive cowardly psychopath and the other a 61 year old

Really?

When and where did the trial(s) take place?

What was/were the verdict(s)?

What was/were the sentence(s) [assuming either was found guilty of anything]?

You're always banging on that motorists are getting let off lightly. Could
you please now furnish an example of where a pavement cyclist is imprisoned
for 12 years?

Could you find a comparable case?

"The court heard that Julius has previous convictions for violence.

In 2004 he appeared before the juvenile court for assaulting a police
officer and received an absolute discharge.

In June 2005 Julius faced Bristol Crown Court accused of a knife point
robbery and was sent to a young offenders' institution for 30 months.

The following November he was sentenced to 12 weeks custody by
magistrates in Bristol for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

And in December 2007 he received a community order after being
convicted of using threatening words or behaviour."

He will be allowed to use his weapon again one day. Should such a
person as him have been considered a fit person to permit to drive? It
is rightly being suggested that older motorists should be better
regulated. Perhaps violent criminals should also be re-assessed by the
same authorities?

It seems that he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and this was
accepted. He seemed to wish to kill someone, though perhaps not Miss
Cousins. So 12 years may not be that heavy.

Indeed, I cannot see any reason for him not being tried for attempted
murder.
Just look at the facts of the case.
He got into a drunken argument, and threw a beer over his victim, and
followed it up with a punch. He had to be pulled off by a friend, and
once that had happened his response was to immediately go and find the
most dangerous weapon immediately available to him - a car - and use
it to attack not just his original victim but all those with her.
He turns out to be a nasty violent man with a nasty violent history,
and was clearly using the car as a weapon.

How can that be anything BUT attempted murder?

Open and shut case, obviously, m'lud.
