Where did my post go?

That's not fixing a switch! It's removing it or bypassing
it. Come on man! This is a TECHNICAL newsgroup! You have
to use precise terminology here! LOL VBEG

Cheers

Mea culpa!

I'd just rephrase.
You did fix your 'switch problem'.

Not unlike this solution to 'computer problem'

Good Lord! Do you realize all the carcinogens that are released into
the air from burning electronic devices? Don't you care about global
warming? Or the South American forests, or the McDonalds being
responsible for the slaughter of millions of poor innocent cows a
year.

Perhaps change the fire selector switch from full auto to semi auto?

That's only part of the solution. It is a good idea to sacrifice
burnt offerings to the computah gods before attempting any repairs. I
keep a supply of old motherboards, suitable for immolation, near the
hibachi. Please note that torching the item to be repaired is
counterproductive.

I'm on Forte 8.00/32.1272.

Step on ctrlN for full auto sending.
https://shortcutworld.com/FORTE/win/Forte_Shortcuts
Think of using two fingers as a safety feature.

Actually, what happens is if the NNTP server is slow in responding
with an ACK message after you send your first message, Forte will time
out and send the message again, and again, and again, until it
receives an ACK. Same with email when using some MUA (mail user
agents). That sometimes happens to me, on my slow DSL line, when I'm
streaming a video and simultaneously try to send email or a Usenet
postings.
