Default Hero cyclist catches scum driver.

Luckily the cyclist managed to stop this scum from escaping the law
after he had put many people in great danger by his reckless driving,
inclding his two passengers who were lucky to escape alive.

Full marks to the cyclist but the errant driver only got 14 months,
once again demonstrating the leniency shown by our car-centric legal
system towards its fellow motorists.

A driving licence is a licence to kill.

Pity it wasn't me that had free rein in bringing down one of these
scrotes. :-)

And what was the point of banning him from driving for 3 years?
He was already banned when he stole the car.

"Banned Chippenham motorist led police on high speed chase"

It's high time there was a law against driving whilst banned from driving.

Presumably it will be added to the previous ban.

Oh Simple Simon, you are so macho. In reality you would have pooped in your
bibshorts.

a kid's toy, not a viable form of transport.

Well presumably, if caught driving while banned, he should receive and
expect exponentially increasing sentences each time, instead of this
derisory 14 months. He should also be banned from driving for life,
subject to a rigorous re-testing and a medical evaluation at his own
expense.

We must not allow these people to put the lives of innocent people
seriously at risk merely because they do so on roads or pavements.

Why should he need to be retested if he is banned for life?
