Frank, why is it that you always have a citation for anything negative but somehow your fingers don't work if you think you can trap me in anything. Well try looking at https://blogs-images.forbes.com/mike...-Brackets5.png

Like all skunks if you think that you can get something for free you're right there with your hand out, but if you have to pay for it out of your own pocket, you're riding a 12 year old POS touring bike.

provide a VERY short summary of whatever point you were trying to
make? I tried removing all the historical references for both UK and

something that might be interesting hidden under all those impressive
sounding words.

Also, forgive me if I don't reply for a few days. The US government
recently sent out $1,400 stimulus checks to most taxpayers. It then
gave us an extra month to file our tax returns, presumably so we would
give some or all of the $1,400 back to the government. I'm now
furiously preparing my taxes two weeks before the deadline. I receive
Pfizer vaccination #2 on Saturday and do not want to attempt any
creative deductions or calculations while suffering from the side
effects.

Jeff, the reason for side effects are quite simple - your first injection gave you an immunity to the virus and the second appears to be a virus to your immune system and it is reacting. You might want to tire yourself out which reduced the immune function temporarily.

A second source us that you've had the virus recently and have a specific immunity. All of the vaccines can react and give you side effects in those cases.

What Andrew wants was never on offer and there is no reason it should be on offer now. The US president who came nearest to the conservative ideal in word (few) and deed (nothing except the essential) was Calvin Coolidge. Whether my cross-Atlantic analysis has value depends on your grip on the history I skimmed.

No need to reply. I already posted everything I want to say on the subject. I'm much more interested in your reaction to the second Pfizer vaccination, as I'm booked in for my second shot.

For me, the second dose felt like I got hit by a [small] truck during the the first 24 hours -- I was dragged out, and all my pre-existing aches and pains were turned up two or three notches. No nausea. The second 24 hours were just tiredness like really bad jet lag, and then that was over, and I was back to being my usual level of old and infirm.

Thanks for your concern and interest. I'll issue a press release if
things go awry.

The reason I'm worried is that four friends and acquaintances have had
some rather nasty reactions to the 2nd Pfizer shot. Two started
having general fatigue a few days after the shot. The fatigue went
away after about three days for one friend, but is still dragging on
after 5 weeks. My neighbor started experiencing Parkinson's like
tremors in her legs almost immediately. It's been 10 weeks and the
tremors show no signs of going away. The doctors don't have a clue.
The fourth is experiencing a mix of fatigue, fever, sore muscles, and
erratic heartbeat. At about 2 weeks, it started going away, but at 8
weeks, some of the symptoms are still there. Everyone else I know had
some kind of mild reaction starting about 2 days after shot #2, and
ending about 5 days later. What those who had adverse reactions have
in common is the existence of one or more underlying medical
conditions. I fit nicely into that category, which is why I'm
concerned.

This might be of interest:
"Vaccine side-effects and SARS-CoV-2 infection after vaccination in
users of the COVID Symptom Study app in the UK" (Apr 27, 2021):
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(21)00224-3/fulltext#seccestitle130
"Among vaccinated app users, 159,101 (25.4%) of 627,383 indicated
having one or more systemic adverse effect, and 257,209 (66.2%) of
388,430 reported one or more local adverse effect". Note that the
reporting population is self-selected and therefore subject to
considerable bias.

Good luck and hopefully we will all survive in grand style.

That's been all over the place.

Girlfriend (a 1947 model) had the chinese virus in late June
last year (tested positive, quarantined, mild symptoms
mostly achy and lethargic). She had her two Pfizer shots in
March with no reaction besides some soreness at injection
site.

Others experienced significant disease symptoms up to and
including death. There are also some dramatic reactions to
the various vaccines.

My wife had no reaction to either Pfizer dose, except a tiny soreness at
the injection site from dose #1.

I had no reaction at all from dose #1 but maybe 30 hours of lethargy or
fatigue from dose #2. Then, like Jay, that passed and my attention
returned to my other infirmities.

I had no reaction to either Pfizer dose. But a friend of mine said that
it affected his vision for a day, first time I heard about that side effect.

Of course when they said you may experience tiredness plus aches and
pains, I asked "how would I even know?
