..As the subj line says, we've been talking about mtb's on the street. With
..street tires, not knobbies.

But they are also WIDER than 10-speed & 3-speed tires. More rubber on the
ground.

And I DO run my 1.5" CyclePro & 1.9" Cheng Shin
