Aussie cyclists come under same restrictions as Hell's Angels
and NO lycra
THE Newman State Government is proposing to extend its anti-bikie laws to ban lycra-clad cyclists riding in packs. "Bikies wearing colours are prohibited from associating with each other, so we only think its fair cyclists should also be banned from riding in packs," a spokesman said. "Cyclists would still be able to ride together if they aren't wearing lycra.'' http://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au...lours/2216244/ |

We should adopt it here! -- Dave - Cyclists VOR. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their lives, certainly on a regular basis." |

Good plan: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I can't believe this is going ahead, can you imagine police arresting hundreds of cyclists?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep: sounds alright to me --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Motoring groups have hailed the move as a fantastic move forward for road safety. "It's been a constant struggle for motorists to constantly have to dodge these enormous bikes as they ride on the side of the road," said Queensland Motoring Safety spokesman Rob McGaskill. "We've had reports of drivers being delayed by as much as five minutes on their daily commutes having to wait for these menaces. "They're a threat to the safety of drivers everywhere and we're glad to see them taken off the road." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

vince is a bit dim Why do people insult others? The solution to this predicament is simple: withdraw from the social hierarchy game. In practical terms, this means becoming an insult pacifist: when insulted, you carry on as if nothing happened. Or if you do respond to an insult, you use self‑deprecating humor: you insult yourself even worse than they did and laugh while doing it. |

I do it because people deserve it. The solution to this predicament is simple: withdraw from the social hierarchy game. If true, that will certainly benefit the losers. In practical terms, this means becoming an insult pacifist: when insulted, you carry on as if nothing happened. Or if you do respond to an insult, you use self‑deprecating humor: you insult yourself even worse than they did and laugh while doing it. In that case, it's only fair for you to give an example of that which you advocate - assuming that you are willing to back up your laughable attempt at social engineering. Either way, you have identified yourself as one of the losers you expect to benefit from your little game. |
