Few wheels come with cassettes, they are separate components and
generally are purchased separately. The cassette is the collection of cogs. If you plan to use Campy, get a Campy compatible wheel and cassette. The 23 is the width of the tire. 700c is a standard road wheel. 650 are generally only found on time trial/triathlon bikes. |

Seems as though it would be very hard to repair due to amount of
surface area. The only possible option is to re-apply a strip of carbon fiber and or to reweave a section. But I don't know to much about composites so it's hard to say . I am certain that epoxy alone won't work due to the surface area. I was also looking at the Spinergy site and I have noticed that they have discontinued the X design. I have never liked the integrated composite spoke design, because you can't true the wheel. |

What is the competitive disadvantage? Thanks. His wheel broke, so I proposed a wheel less likely to break. 15-14-15 spokes. Do not exist. I can see it now ... Cantiflex spokes! -- Michael Press |

Either he's a fatty who breaks wheels with less than 36 spokes or his one of those rbt dumbasses who think 20Kg bikes are great or both. 1.73 m, 68 kg all my adult life. Steel frame bicycle, 10 kg. I am fit but not any more than the word implies; am not nor ever was athletic. I have always had a bicycle, but only in the last two years have I attempted to become a stronger rider. Advice in this forum has aided me. Hilly area, 3 hour rides, 20 km/hr average, twice a week. I have seen Bud Abbott and Lou Costello doing "Who's on First?" in a live television broadcast. -- Michael Press |

What is the competitive disadvantage? Heavier and with more wind resistance. His wheel broke, so I proposed a wheel less likely to break. A touring rim is less likely to break too. It's also not appopriate for racing. JT **************************** Remove "remove" to reply Visit http://www.jt10000.com **************************** |
