a question about rollers
I finally got some rollers but the front wheel sits a bit higher tha the rear wheel does. Is this a problem? I thought the wheelbase migh be a bit long for them. http://www.yossman.net/~nath/rollers/ If the wheelbase is too long I could try drilling some more holes i the rails to move the front roller a little further along. As a side note: I'm having a lot of fun with these. Much mor interesting than a mag trainer. To begin with I was moving erraticall from side to side, grabbing onto the handrail next to me and no peddeling very fast at all. I'm slowly getting the hang of it, stil can't do it without concentrating though. Any tips -- xisle |

I wonder, if I pinched some rollers off one of the conveyers at work I could easily make my own. Marty |

Having had a look at the pics rather than moving the front roller forward you might actually need to move it one hole backwards so that the front axle is over the roller. What you'll find is the steering will be a whole lot lighter and you won't be fighting the bars to stay in the centre of the roller. It also make it easier to ride no hands on the bars. If there is a slight difference in the height between the front and rear wheels I don't think you'll notice it while riding. I never have. Geoff |
