Default Sunday ride: Half on recumbents!

Hiya Recumbent Fans:
I just wanted to let you know that on last Sunday's "Ride and Learn"
with our local advocacy group, we wedge riders were outnumbered by the
recumbent riders -- if we count both the captain and stoker on the
Counterpoint Opus (think Bilenky Viewpoint) as recumbent riders. They
weren't the only recumbent tandem team, either. It was quite a bit of
diversity that day! And we got some even weirder looks than you'd
normally get riding about in a group.

The captain on the Opus/Viewpoint [1] should be counted as an upright
rider and the stoker as a recumbent rider.

Bayshore Bike Trail (formerly the Bay Route Bike Trail until they
realized it sounded like we were in Lebanon) from Coronado to downtwon
San Diego, steep climbs up Mt. Overpass, the Chula Vista salt mines
(evaporation ponds, big piles of salt with bulldozers always impress
those who didn't know THAT was there) and a ferry ride back to "the
Island." We had a coffee break and snack attack at Cafe Noir on Ninth
near Petco Park.
