Default Altura Jacket - How to Launder?

I have one of those dayglo yellow Altura cycling jackets with
reflector bands, that I bought in the UK last year.
I wore it all last summer and it is getting pretty high.
The label says the guarantee is destroyed if I wash it using "mineral
detergents". These will damage the water-proofing, which is an
essential feature.

What on earth are "mineral detergents" and how can I avoid using them?

Thanks,
EFR

AIUI standard advice is to use soap flakes rather than washing powder,
and no softener, although you might prefer a specialist cleaning
product like Nikwax Tech Wash available from outdoor pursuits stores.

If you can't get soap flakes, try liquid soap flakes. Some supermarkets
don't stock soap flakes.
