i wouldn't trust any group that puts denver, co in the "silver" category.
aurora in particuliar is brutal.

Since when did Aurora get assumed into Denver? They may be contiguous,
but they are different geopolitical entities. For the purpose of the
survey listed, cities are defined sensu stricto, i.e., by the city limits
of one governance. Denver is one city, Aurora another, Littleton another,
etc. Take a look at the 'gold' status of Palo Alto, and the 'silver' status
of Stanford; contiguous entities, but different so rated separately.

BTW, San Francisco is not all that friendly towards bikes. Some of the
towns south of SF are, but I avoid riding in SF unless absolutely
necessary. Death wish to ride in the city limits.

denver sucks, too.

it's way better than denver. at least sf doesn't run ya 2-way on a
sidewalk against traffic and call it a bike path (as denver does near the
cherry creek mall in denver proper). they also don't mandate you off the
streets and onto the bike sidewalks as denver does on the cherry creek trail
near downtown. downtown denver that is.

at least in sf they're not surprised to see on you on the street.

denver loves their sidewalks. they segregate. that's my complaint with
denver.

WTF are you complaining about?
So what if they mandate you off the street if they provide bike paths for
you.

Boo freaking hoo.

Segretation sucks. In this case it turns cyclists into "special" road users
Don't you know all citizens have a right to the common road?
Motorists must buy and earn a temporary right to use that same road (as long
as they are insured). So why are cyclists pushed off ?
