Unfortunately, Magilla is an equal opportunity offender who uses
poorly contrived terms such as the one you note that he apparently
thinks are clever plays on words, humorous and/or shocking. It's just
his way of compensating for his lack of linguistic skill and ability.

Even if the kid has a mellon cap how can any adult who rides with a
child on the back guarantee they won't crash? Since pros crash on
routine training rides all the time even when by themselves (Landis), on
what basis do adults with little bike riding experience and spaz-level
Booby Jew-lick skills and no racing experience whatsoever take their
children with them on the back of a bike?

This just reinforces whenever I see an adult riding a bike with their
kid in one of those child seats on the back...I think "What a ****ing
A-hole - he can't guarantee he won't stack it and turn the kid into a
Saul Raisin mellonhead."

Please discuss.

Thanks,

Magilla

Just an extension of the standing while climbing thread. Its more
efficient to sit and they get their own places on the airplane.

Peeps,

I just spent 3 weeks in Europe (no I was not riding
the Tour, sorry) and I hate to be a Body Image Bigot,
but the first thing I noticed on returning (other than
that even in airports, the snacks are closer to
real food there) is all the Fatties here. It's not just the
extreme fat people, but the fatness level of the
average person, and their willingness to walk as a
normal way of transportation. Even in the Frankfurt
airport, boarding a plane to the United States
the first thing I noticed is people too fat and out
of shape to get down the stairs to the jetway
without walking crablike sideways with a death grip
on the handrail. (Admittedly this person was fairly
old, and why are there stairs to a jetway? But
in western continental Europe, the elderly people
you see aren't obese.)

We're all gonna die of Fatness. I don't know what it is -
high fructose corn syrup, out of control portion sizes,
the fact that nobody gets any exercise because
they all drive everywhere - but it's gonna kill most of
us in the USA and impoverish the rest as we pay for
their health care. The catastrophic increase in Fatness
has occurred in just a few decades - it's remarkable,
public health rarely changes so quickly.

Look at this map:
http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/trends.html

You have to go down a page for the animated map
and make sure you see it from beginning to end,
1985-2008 (use the "previous" button to go back to 1985).
All the states are gonna go black. Except maybe
Colorado.

Compared to Fatness, baby bike seats are a pimple
on the ass of mortality rates.

His point is still valid. I've seen parents park their bikes on
kickstands with the kids still in the seats. And go into a store. Too
many of them have no clue. A tourist would check more carefully on a
static load half the size before leaving.

If you have a kid, a two wheel trailer attached to a proper bike will
not break the bank, not nearly as much as the concussion will. OTOH,
the trailer won't get you through the guard rails any quicker.

And don't overstuff them with **** junk food. The stuff that parents
feed their kids is scary man. They should get arrested for that too.

This is the correct answer. *Can you imagine being the frightened child

Can you please explain your comment Booby "Jew-lick". *I´m new to
posting on this group, but it appears to me that you are including a
racist slur to your post. *I actually agree with you about kids on
bikes, but you have a nasty way of expressing yourself that is most
disturbing. Am I wrong, am I the only one here who noticed this? If I
am wrong I apologize, but I think you might choose your words a little
more carefully.- Hide quoted text -

Yes you are wrong; you may begin your apology. Gorilla is funny man. I
like the one about the Skull Brothers. I don't like the one about
Contador; I think my version is better: "Conquistador". But anyway,
that is Gorilla's character. At first it is a bit shocking but then
the entertaining part comes through. He takes no prisoners.
