Default today's stage

Should be a great uphill finish today. Gesink made a great effort
yesterday and is in position for the gold jersey. Valverde and Evans
are having an epic battle between them, and Basso and TD are hanging
in strong.

Not bad but a bit disappointing in the end,, teammated sriding high
tempo really prevents much from happening, Kyrienka yesterday and
Rodriguez today.

Valverde seems stronger than Basso and Gesink too, so...

Bad luck for Evans, although maybe he wouldn't have kept up at the end
since Sanchez dropped him.

At least now Evans will have to try to attack. It might make it more
interesting.
Yes, it looked like Sanchez got a second wind, when he dropped Evans.
Valverde seems to be riding smoother than the others: it appears to me
he's putting out less effort and still maintaining the front.
Did Basso ever get off his saddle? He's riding like the old Jan.

Don't think so, he certainly seems to be limited, reminds me of how he
raced in the 2003 or 2004 TDF, solid but unspectacular, then it
changed in 2005...He seemed to be saying he would do better at the
Vuelta than at the Giro but frankly he seems to be at the same level.
