Default Very Impressed with Courtesy of Mountain Bikers

On Monday we went on a hike from Page Mill Road to Ridge Winery in
Cupertino (Montebello Ridge). There were quite a few mountain bikes (as
many bikers as hikers) and they were unfailingly courteous when they
passed us on the narrow trails.

Of course I can never recall any hike in this area where mountain bikers
were anything but courteous to hikers.

Mountain bikers and hikers are allies in keeping open spaces open. Since
all the experts agree that mountain bikes do no more damage to trails
than hikers, it would make sense to open more and more trails to bicycles.
