Don't gloat. He was just 20 years old.

To his parents, the time since his birth (in about 1992) will have flown by.
They'll still have thought of him as a boy. It's what parents do. God knows
what they're going through.

I know... I read that too... but anyone can make a mistake.

Don't forget: every qualified driver has a full licence because they were
awarded a "certificate of competence to drive" when they passed a test. I was
issued mine over forty years ago. And I still make mistakes. We all do.

I agree, it's tragic and his parents must be going through hell.
Unfortunately terrible accidents like this happen occasionally. I would
appeal to Mr Cheerful not to make light of such things.

Me too on 40 years and mistakes,
Thing is when a driver makes a mistake the word competent is never used.
Never mind.

Club chairman Norman Bielby told the Northern Echo he was a keen and competent
rider who would be greatly missed by members.

I can see that he may have been keen - and also missed by the members.

I see the crash was at the bottom of a hill, so once again, too fast for the
conditions or no brakes.
