I won't believe it until Brian Lafferty posts an article from L'Equippe in the original language to that effect. -- Le Snippy de Bobkins, Alta Vista connesoiur "As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality." --Albert Einstein |

Now the wait til next year.... The racing goes on, you know. The next Grand Tour is the Vuelta starting on 26th August; but there's Pro Tour stage racing in two weeks' time (Tour of Germany); the Eneco Tour (benelux) two weeks after that; the Tour of Britain[1] starting on the 29th August (and, incidentally, I'm still looking for marshalls for the end of the first stage); the Tour of Poland the week after that; the World Championship[2] in late September... The Tour de France is great, but it isn't the only race. And it certainly isn't the only race worth following. [1] Yes, I know, not Pro Tour. But hey, it comes to my nearest town... [2] Yes, I know, not stage racing. -- (Simon Brooke) http://www.jasmine.org.uk/~simon/ For office use only. Please do not write or type below this line. |
