Default Cruiser Cruising

After a couple of months riding my Schwinn Cruiser Deluxe I went for a
real cruise. A 50 mile long ride. A 8.6 mph average speed and time of
5hrs,52 minutes actual cycling time. The first 25 miles I had a
headwind of 15 to 22 mph. But on the way back the wind was only 5 to 7
mph. Why does the wind always die down when it is at your back?

Consider yourself lucky to have any backwind. Where I ride, I'm lucky if the
headwind isn't greater on my way home that it was on my way out.
